About the event
Global Gyal x Humble & Free Wadadli are taking you beyond the shoreline and into Antigua’s agricultural heartland.
On September 19, walk through the Agro District and New Village, recognized as Antigua’s first free village, uncovering the history of the land while meeting some of the people cultivating its future.
Along the way, we’ll pass working farms, from fowl and livestock including goats, donkeys and cattle, to traditional coal production and fields tended by local farmers. Taste whatever is in season as we walk, learn about elder foods and local growing practices, and hear how agriculture, history and food sovereignty intersect across the district.
We’ll end on the HUmble and Free Wadadli Farm with a refreshing locally made juice, good conversation and time to lime.
Come ready to walk, taste, learn and meet a side of Wadadli most people simply drive past.
